Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy is a dedicated and accomplished team lead and co-owner with a background in sports and sales. He grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, as the youngest of three siblings in a blue-collar steel town. Raised by a hard-working, single mother, Sean developed strong character traits such as resilience and a strong work ethic.

 

In his school years, Sean excelled in sports and served as the captain of both his high school and collegiate track teams, showcasing his leadership abilities and determination. After graduating, he moved to Denver, Colorado, where his competitive nature and drive propelled him to succeed in sales careers with 24 Hour Fitness and Trulia.

 

At Trulia (acquired by Zillow in 2015), Sean's exceptional coaching and motivational skills allowed him to rise through the ranks from an associate to a sales team lead, and ultimately to the position of head sales trainer. As he continued to excel in the rapidly changing real estate tech space, his abilities earned him several awards, including Trainer of the Year in 2013.

 

After gaining valuable experience and interacting with numerous real estate agents across the country, Sean decided to embark on his journey as a real estate agent. He spent 2 1/2 years learning from one of Denver's top real estate teams before teaming up with Matt Marynik to establish the Moxie team.

 

Sean's passion lies in continuous improvement and coaching. He is committed to helping both the agents on his team and his clients achieve the greatest success in attaining their desired outcomes. While he remains an active real estate agent, Sean limits his transactions to ensure that he can deliver a high-end experience to his clients and impart his knowledge, energy, and values to the agents on his team.

 

Outside of work, Sean maintains a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He incorporates daily yoga asanas and Vipassana meditation practices into his routine and finds solace in exploring beautiful Colorado outdoors through activities such as hiking and camping. Accompanied by his loyal 14-year-old Shiba-Inu sidekick, Dartagnun, Sean enjoys the wonders of nature. Additionally, he contributes to the team's YouTube channels by vlogging and sharing valuable insights into Colorado's incredible communities.
